Staff roles
What moderators and admins can do, and how staff are added.
There are two staff roles: moderators and admins. Admins run everything. Moderators handle reports, reviews and listings, but can't suspend accounts, decide disputes, publish announcements or change roles.

Buttons you can't use aren't shown, and pages explain what only admins can do.
Add a staff member (admins)
- Open Staff and add a person.
- Enter their name and email. The email must be on the organisation's domain.
- Choose the role: Moderator or Admin.
- Save. You get a temporary password. Give it to them yourself, in person or by phone, not by email. It won't be shown again.
They are asked to choose their own password after they sign in.
Change someone's role (admins)
Open Users, find the person, and select Change role. Making a member a moderator or admin gives them access to the admin portal. The person is signed out everywhere so the new role takes effect. You can't change your own account: ask another admin.
Staff tools in the Android app
Admins also find a Guardian Portal in the Android app (Account, then Guardian Portal) with reports, disputes, announcements, feedback and marketplace health, for quick checks on the go.
