Auction a lot
Sell a lot of 50 kg or more to the highest bidder in a timed auction.
Have a big lot? Auction it. Buyers bid against each other for a set time, and the highest bid at or above your reserve price wins. Prices are per kg, like everywhere else.

Before you start
- The lot must be a live listing of yours, with at least 50 kg.
- It must not have an accepted offer. Finish or cancel that deal first.
- It can only have one auction at a time.
Start an auction
- Open My listings and tap the listing.
- Tap Auction this lot.
- Enter the Starting price per kg.
- Optional: enter the Lowest price you'll accept (your reserve). Buyers don't see it. If bidding doesn't reach it, the lot doesn't sell. It can't be below the starting price.
- Choose how long it runs: 1 hour, 6 hours, 1 day, 3 days or 7 days.
- Tap Start auction.

While it runs
- Normal offers on the listing are paused. Buyers see "Being auctioned" and place bids instead.
- Each bid must beat the current price by at least the minimum step (about 2% of the starting price, and at least Rs. 1 per kg).
- A bid in the last 2 minutes adds 2 minutes, so everyone gets a fair chance to answer. This can happen up to 10 times.
- Bids can't be withdrawn. A bid is a promise to buy the whole lot at that price.
- You can follow the current bid, the bid history and whether your reserve is met on the auction page.
Cancel an auction
You can cancel until the first bid. On the auction, tap Cancel auction. The listing goes back to taking normal offers. Once someone has bid, the auction can't be cancelled.
When it ends
- Sold: the top bid at or above your reserve wins. It becomes an accepted offer for the winner, who confirms the deal to book the pickup. Continue in Offers and chat. See Schedule a pickup.
- No sale: if nobody bid, or bids stayed under your reserve, the auction ends without a sale and the listing is open for offers again.
