Required updates
When a version is too old to keep using, and what to do.
Sometimes an old version of the app can't be used any more, for example because of a security fix or a change to how sign-in works. Then the app asks you to update before you carry on.
Works in:Android app
What you see
When your version is older than the oldest version allowed, the update window says Update required and "Your version is no longer supported". There is no Later button. Tap Update now and follow the steps in How the app updates itself.
You may also see, when you sign in: "This version of the app is too old to sign in." This means your version can't show the sign-in code screen. You can't reach Account while you are signed out, so get the new version from the download site:
- On your phone, open downloads.scrapex.ubaidbinwaris.com (opens in a new tab).
- Download the app and open the file.
- Tap Install (or Update). It installs over your old version and keeps your data.
- Open the app and sign in again.
If the app shows Update available or Update required when you open it, you can also tap Update now there.
Who decides
Our team sets the oldest version allowed. We only do this for serious problems, because it stops people on older versions until they update.
On the download site, versions that are too old are marked Too old to sign in in the list of older versions.
If the update won't download
- Connect to Wi-Fi and try again.
- Free some space on your phone.
- Or install the newest version by hand from downloads.scrapex.ubaidbinwaris.com (opens in a new tab). Installing it over the old app keeps your data.
Until you can update, you can use the web app at scrapex.ubaidbinwaris.com (opens in a new tab) with the same account.
