What is Scrap Exchange?
A quick tour of how people sell and buy scrap on Scrap Exchange, on Android and on the web.
Scrap Exchange is a marketplace for scrap in Pakistan. Sellers find out what their scrap is worth and sell it at a fair price. Buyers and dealers find scrap near them without driving around. Everything from the first photo to the payment happens in one place.

How it works
- Scan. Take photos of your scrap. Scrap Exchange guesses the material, the weight and a fair price per kg.
- List. Add the details and publish a listing. Buyers near you can see it.
- Agree a price. Buyers make offers. You can accept, make a counter offer or chat about it.
- Pick up. Book a time. The buyer comes to you, weighs the scrap and pays you on the spot.
- Done. The deal is saved with a receipt, and you rate each other.

Who it is for
- Sellers: households, shops and businesses with scrap to sell, for example copper wire, aluminium cans, iron, plastic, paper or cardboard.
- Buyers: dealers and recyclers who buy scrap and want to find lots near them.
- Both: many people buy and sell. You can choose this when you create your account and change it later.
Two ways to use it
- The Android app: everything, including the camera scan, auctions, the local map and push notifications. See Install the Android app.
- The web app at scrapex.ubaidbinwaris.com: the same account and most of the same features, in any modern browser. See Use the web app.
You can use both at the same time with the same account.
