Does Scrap Exchange cost anything?
There is nothing to pay to use the app or the web app. Scrap Exchange doesn't handle the money in a deal: the buyer pays the seller directly at the pickup.
Is the app in the Play Store?
No. Download it from the official download site, downloads.scrapex.ubaidbinwaris.com (opens in a new tab). After that, it updates itself. See Install the Android app.
Is there an iPhone app?
No, there is an Android app only. On an iPhone, use the web app (opens in a new tab) in Safari.
Can I use my phone and my computer at the same time?
Yes. One phone and any number of browsers, with the same account. See Phone and browsers at the same time.
Why do I need a code to sign in?
So that a stolen password isn't enough to get into your account. You only need a code on a new device, and then every 30 days. See Sign-in codes and trusted devices.
Are prices per kg or for the whole lot?
Per kg, everywhere. The whole lot is the price per kg times the weight. Listing and offer pages show both.
How accurate is the photo estimate?
The material guess is usually good with clear photos. The weight is a rough guess, so weigh your scrap if you can. The buyer weighs it again at the pickup, and you are paid for the real weight. See Photo scan and AI estimate.
Who decides the final price?
You agree a price per kg in the offer. At the pickup, the buyer enters the final weight and price. If the price per kg changes, they must explain why, and the seller can ask for changes. The deal only completes when the seller confirms. See On pickup day.
How do I get paid?
Directly by the buyer at the pickup: cash, JazzCash, Easypaisa or bank transfer. Add the ways you accept in Payment methods. Only confirm the pickup once you have the money.
What if the buyer doesn't come?
Cancel the pickup from the pickup page and give a reason. The listing goes back on the market. See Schedule a pickup.
What if something went wrong with a deal?
Report a problem from the deal record within 7 days. A moderator reviews both sides. See Disputes.
Who can see my phone number?
Nobody, unless you turn on Show my phone number on your profile, or share it with one person for one pickup. See Profile and photo.
How do I get the Verified badge?
Verify both your email address and your phone number. See Verification and badges.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Ask from Privacy and data. Our team handles it within 30 days. See Privacy, your data and deleting your account.
